وزارت کشور افغانستان می گوید 91 غیرنظامی در حمله نیروهای آمریکایی در غرب افغانستان کشته شده اند که بیشتر آنها زنان و کودکان هستند.نیروهای ائتلافی تایید کرده اند که در ولایت هرات دست به حمله ای زده اند اما گفتند در این حمله هیچ فرد غیرنظامی کشته نشده است.وزارت کشور در بیانیه ای گفت این تلفات در ولسوالی شیندند هرات روی داده است. رئیس پلیس ولایتی پس از حمله هوایی آمریکا گفت کودکان و زنان زیادی در میان کشته ها هستند. گفته می شود ده ها خانه در این حمله ویران شده است.

The United Nations has announced that a minimum of 90 people were killed in Friday’s US airstrike in Herat Province. This number includes 60 children, and stands as one of the largest incidents of US-inflicted slaughter of civilians since the 2001 invasion. Is this part of ‘building democracy’ or ‘the war on drugs’. It can’t be the former since those parts of the country not under control of the Taliban are in the hands of the warlords. It can’t be the latter since 90% of the world’s trade in opium now comes from Afghanistan. So the killing will go on until such time as we remove our troops and break with the war policies of the US.
